What is He-Shi and how does it work?

He-Shi is an express liquid fake tan, which tans on contact with the skin. Unlike most fake tans you can actually see it going on, so you know instantly that no parts have been left uncovered by the fake tan product you are applying. The result is no streaking and no white bits.

Is He-Shi Fake Tan suitable for everyone?

He-Shi Fake Tan is suitable for all skin types however a patch test is recommended on the forearm 24 hours before full application of the fake tan product, particularly if you have sensitive skin.

Do I need to moisturise first before applying He-Shi Fake Tan?

Moisturiser can act as a barrier, therefore you should not moisturise immediately before applying your He-Shi Fake Tan, however it is important to exfoliate before applying the fake tan. Also bear in mind any waxing or shaving should be carried out at least 24 hours before applying the fake tan.

Will He-Shi Fake Tan get darker?

It will look slightly darker overnight, however if a deeper colour is required, just apply a further coat of Fake Tan. This can be done immediately after the first coat of He-Shi Fake Tan has dried out, or the next day.

When can I wash after using He-Shi Fake Tan?

It is best to leave a minimum of 5 to 7 hours after application of the He-Shi Fake Tan product before showering, but overnight is best. Some surface bronzer will wash off on the first shower. After this He-Shi fake tan will not wash off.

How long will my He-Shi Fake Tan last?

He-Shi Fake Tan fades naturally just like a real tan and will last approximately 4-5 days.

Is He-Shi fake tan a sunscreen?

No. You should take normal precautions during exposure to the natural sun. He-Shi fake tan offers NO protection at all should you expose your skin to natural UV light (sunshine) or if you use a sunbed.

Does He-Shi Fake Tan smell?

It does not smell foul or have any nausea inducing fragrances. This is one of the most exciting qualities of He-Shi fake tan. You can now look and smell great with your natural looking He-Shi fake tan !!

Can Men and Women use He-Shi Fake Tan?

He-Shi Fake Tan is not a gender specific product. It is very popular with men and has no sex boundaries.

How do I apply He-Shi Fake Tan?

You can apply our He-Shi Fake Tan with a make up sponge or cotton wool using a rubber glove to protect the hands from staining, however we recommend a Velvotan Applicator which is a glove mitt. These He-Shi Fake Tan glove mitts are available in 2 sizes, small one for the face and a larger mitt for the body. What about problem areas?

Use He-Shi Fake Tan lightly over knees, elbows, back of heels, i.e. dry areas of skin as these retain more of the moisturise and appear darker once the He-Shi Fake Tan is applied. Be patient and do not rush the application.

Does He-Shi Fake Tan stain clothes?

No. The good news is that He-Shi Fake Tan will wash of clothes. However it is advisable to wear dark loose clothing after application of your He-Shi fake tan.

How soon can I dress after application of He-Shi Fake Tan?

He-Shi Fake Tan will dry in 5 minutes so you can dress immediately. No more need to wait around naked for 20/30 minutes !!
